Avery was born and raised in Sandersville, Georgia. After graduating from Washington County High School, Avery attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where he played football for the Berry Vikings and graduated with a degree in history.
During his time at Berry College, Avery developed an interest in the law and began preparing for a legal career. His connection to Rome continued after college and ultimately became one of the reasons he built his law firm in the community he now serves.
Today, Avery lives in Rome, Georgia with his wife, Hanna, and their children, Laken, Adeline, Birdie, and Ellorie.

Throughout law school, Avery also worked as an intern at multiple law firms practicing personal injury in the Atlanta area, gaining practical legal experience before becoming an attorney.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic postponing the bar exam, Avery began practicing law as a provisionally licensed lawyer immediately after law school. During that time, he worked for multiple attorneys drafting legal documents, preparing cases, and arguing in court.

Avery was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia as a fully licensed attorney in 2020. He was later admitted to the State Bar of Florida in 2022.

Before founding Avery Archer Law Firm, LLC, Avery worked as an attorney at a general practice firm in Decatur, Georgia, where he quickly became a named partner. Through his work in courts across various Georgia counties, Avery gained valuable experience handling contested legal matters, preparing cases for litigation, arguing in court, and representing clients through important stages of the legal process. Avery has handled multiple bench trials and jury trials throughout his career.
