Jarrett Avery Archer was born and raised in Sandersville, Georgia by his parents, Jarrett and Tricia Archer. After graduating from Washington County High School, Avery attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where he played football and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history. During college, Avery discovered that he had a passion for law and began preparations to achieve his goal of becoming a lawyer. Avery attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he graduated number one in the class of 2020. During his time at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School ("AJMLS"), Avery also obtained The Honorable Harold R. Banke Advocacy Award, became the inaugural member of AJMLS’s Order of the Quill, published a legislative summary as a member of AJMLS's Law Review and received 10 Cali Awards for earning the highest score in various classes. Avery also gained invaluable experience while competing for AJMLS's Phi Alpha Delta mock trial team. Throughout his time in law school, Avery worked as an intern at multiple law firms in the Atlanta area to obtain real world legal experience. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic postponing the bar exam, Avery began practicing law as a provisionally licensed attorney immediately after law school, during which time he worked for multiple attorneys drafting legal documents and arguing in court. Avery was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia as a fully licensed attorney in 2020. Shortly thereafter, Avery was admitted to the State Bar of Florida in 2022. Prior to founding his own firm, Avery worked as an attorney at a general practice law firm located in the Atlanta area, where he quickly became a named partner. Through his years in practice, Avery has gained valuable courtroom and trial experience in both criminal and civil law. He started Avery Archer Law Firm to provide legal services to clients throughout the states of Georgia and Florida. His goal in starting the firm was to provide tailored and personal legal representation to clients with unique legal circumstances. Currently, Avery lives in Kingston, Georgia with his wife, Hanna, and their children, Laken and Adeline. When not advocating for his clients, Avery enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching Atlanta Falcons football, traveling and relaxing on the beach.
